ABOUT US

The Kidney Foundation of the Philippines (KFP) is a non-stock, non-profit organization that meets the changing challenges in saving and extending quality lives of patients with kidney diseases.

It was founded in 1974 with the initial funds raised through the initiatives of then First Lady and Metro Manila Governor Imelda Marcos, with the able assistance of Mrs. Tessie Yulo. The Kidney Foundation of the Philippines established the first Kidney Dialysis and Transplant Center in the County in 1976 at the ABM Sison Hospital (now The Medical City).

The Foundation works in partnership with the National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI) and other hospital facilities for transplantation of qualified cases and provides the highest quality service and treatment outcome to every patient who goes to its dialysis center.

Through the years, the Kidney Foundation of the Philippines has served thousands of patients. It pioneered in the pre-transplant workup (tissue typing and cross matching) and was the first training institution of doctors and nurses on comprehensive renal care.

The Foundation has modern dialysis facilities, assuring quality dialysis treatment packaged with the necessary treatment components of a dialysis patient in an affordable manner. It is located at Lot 2-B-4 President Quezon St., Lifehomes Subd., Rosario, Pasig City.
